The Toluca Lake Tennis & Fitness Club has some of the best personal trainers in Los Angeles. We offer a complimentary Fitness Consultation to all members. During the consultation, our trainers will review your health history and fitness goals, provide fitness assessments, and prescribe specific exercises to enhance your workouts.

 

We offer regular personal training with our Independent Master Trainers who create individual programs to achieve your fitness goals. All of the trainers are certified and highly qualified professionals, with a wide variety of specialty credentials and fitness experiences.

Eddie Crespo

Eddie Crespo is an accomplished trainer and cycling instructor of over 25 years and certified by the National Academy for Sports Medicine. He is fluent in functional movement, TRX suspension training, pre/post-natal, and rehabilitative training. He has worked with everyone from elite athletes and octogenarians to special needs children. A successful competitor in the grueling Ironman Canada (2005), Eddie's clientele cite his warmth, energy, and expertise to both challenge and set them at ease. The California State Senate has honored Eddie's volunteering: coaching tennis at Burbank Center for special needs as well as leading obesity awareness campaigns for Los Angeles and Orange County Unified School Districts; and training children with cancer at Padres Contra El Cancer and working with HIV/AIDS-infected Hispanic women. “Toluca Lake Tennis & Fitness Club is a family in the truest form of the word. Amber Thompson

Amber Thompson became a member of the TLTFC when she moved to L.A. 17 years ago, but says, “I had never belonged to a gym before and didn’t know my way around a weight room. I felt intimidated and embarrassed, so I spent most of my time on the treadmill.” When she finally started taking classes from one of the club’s instructors, “my body changed and friends were asking me for fitness advice.” She was inspired to begin helping others and returned to the TLTFC 11 years ago as a trainer.

Alex Bedria

For over two decades, Alex Bedria has helped clients from all walks of life achieve their fitness goals through safe, effective, and fun workout programs. With 20+ years experience as a nationally certified personal trainer on both coasts, he has held certifications from the International Sports Sciences Association, the American Council on Exercise, the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, and the National Endurance and Sports Trainers Association. Alex specializes in weight loss and functional training with a focus on mindfulness of the body and breath. He is experienced in injury post-rehabilitation and pregnancy. Alana Silvani

I’ve been in the fitness center of TLTFC since 1999. I’ve taught everything from Spin and TRX to yoga and mat Pilates. My main focus is on personal training and health coaching. Erin Sanders

Mia Valentina

Born and raised in Oslo, Norway, Mia Valentina began pursuing her career in dance at the age of 16. By the time she was 25 she had already danced and choreographed for Norway´s biggest pop stars and TV networks, and traveled across the world working with different artists. A Los Angeles resident since 2017, Mia has gone on to work with stars like Cardi B, Jason Derulo, J Balvin, Bad Bunny and more. Aside from Mia’s love for the arts, she is an athlete first and fitness is a crucial part of her lifestyle. She is a NASM certified fitness professional who pushes her clients beyond their perceived limits to reach their fitness goals. By customizing her clients’ work out plans, which focus on injury prevention and correct form, Valentina’s mission is to hold them accountable while having fun. Nikki Herrera

Nikki discovered yoga over a dozen years ago after being diagnosed with scoliosis—what felt like a mundane routine of stretches turned into something more. She wanted to share the benefits of mindfulness and movement with others and what it has done for her own health. Coming from a background in gymnastics, playing sports and living an active lifestyle from an early age, she has been guiding students to achieve awareness in their own bodies; while also cultivating an experience filled with moving with intention, a focus on alignment, and supported modified adjustments. Her focus is to be able to help her students incorporate breath work, and connect with both mind and body.

Vanessa Garcia

Vanessa G is a wellness & spiritual coach. She specializes in the healing arts and in the art of being. Native Angeleno born in East Los Angeles, she grew up as a track athlete and dancer. She received her BA in Performing Arts in dance and now a certified holistic practitioner and body-worker for chronic back pain and stress management specializing in MFR (myofascial release) and the nervous system. Vanessa is a certified Reiki Level 1 Practitioner & an IPATH (Integral Postural Alignment Technique) Master Teacher in Restore & Pilates, ERYT International Yoga, Meditation, and Breath Teacher, Certified Accessible Yoga Teacher, Certified Yin Yoga Meridian Health, Certified TRX Instructor. She also certifies other health care professionals in IPATH Restore Foundations, IPATH Mat Pilates, IPATH II (pre/postnatal, deeper pathologies, spinal lymphatic drainage). She is currently in the process of getting clinically certified in Aromatherapy (Level 1 & 2) with the New York Aromatherapy Institute & a Reiki Level 2 Certification with Kari Buzewski, RMT. She loves guiding others back to their true authentic selves through self care and self love.

Ray Knecht

Ray found his passion for fitness while rehabbing a knee injury. He has over 30 years of experience in the fitness industry working with some of the top companies including The Sports Club Company, Equinox, and Millennium Partners Sports Club. He holds certifications from American Council on Exercise and National College of Exercise Professionals. He has competed in body building contests and power lifting events, and played high school football, baseball, and wrestled in college.

Anna Koroknyai

‘My personal mantra is energy makes energy. The more you move and engage those parts of the body that have been on standby, the better you will feel and the greater impact it will have on your life outside the four walls of your gym.’ Anna is a trained dancer with over 15 years experience in classical and modern dance. She earned a teaching degree from the acclaimed Jeszenszky Modern Dance Academy in Hungary. An additional 4 year degree in nursing sets her apart as she has a deep and thorough knowledge of anatomy, injury and healing. She has also acquired a Hatha Yoga certification from Wanderlust Los Angeles. Anna has always used her knowledge of dance to help people on their journey to become stronger and healthier. From the age of 17, Anna quickly developed a cult following amongst her local gym goers, teaching group exercise classes. She realized at that tender age that this was her calling. Diana Dinets

Born into a Russian family of healers, Diana has always been fascinated by the puzzle that is the human body! A lover of movement, teaching, anatomy/physiology, all wrapped together with a background in performance art, have led Diana to love working with performers, as well as those looking to improve their wellbeing for daily function. Her specializations include, but are not limited to: strength training, mobility work, pre/post partum, weight loss, muscle building, post-physical therapy injury recovery, and yoga. She treats fitness as a highly intuitive practice, encouraging people to look deeper within to reconnect with their physical body, while getting down into the details of each person's individual needs. She holds a NASM certification in personal training, a 200-hour YTT, and is also a pelvic floor health educator. When Diana isn't at the gym, she is practicing trapeze, rescuing cats, or attending concerts for her music blog!

Christina Quarternik

Christina Quarternik is a Los Angeles based trainer originally from St. Louis, MO. Movement has always been an essential part of Christina’s life since a young age. From beginning in dance classes at just 3 years old to playing sports growing up - Christina enjoyed a very active upbringing. Shortly after moving to LA in 2014 to pursue a professional dance career, she found her passion for health and wellness progressively growing. What first began as teaching cardio dance classes at the club has continued to grow overtime, and lead to a desire to expand her education in the fitness industry. Christina now holds certifications from the National College of Exercise Professionals and the American Council on Exercise. She has 6+ years of experience coaching both group fitness classes as well as personal training clients ranging from programming styles of strength, cardio, bootcamp, dance, HIIT, and more. Her focus is to help her clients get stronger, move better, and feel more confident inside and outside the gym. Christina absolutely loves getting to see her clients progress and looks forward to every opportunity to do so. Does Christina feel a bit strange talking about herself in the 3rd person? Yes, but she promises she’s better in real life.

Ariel Davis

Ariel Davis is a certified vegan health coach with certifications in BoxNBurn Level 1/2, Mayweather Boxing Fitness, and USA Boxing.  He started boxing at age 10 and competed with his high school boxing team in Chicago on 7 amateur fights. He is trained by Mcgary Irish boxing club in Chicago and has studied with Stan Ward, John Pullman, Buddy Mcgirt, and Steve Harb. Connor Alexander

Connor got his start in fitness and personal training back in 2018. While completing his BFA in Acting for Film and Television, Connor began training at The Future Health Institute in downtown Los Angeles. Operating as a trainer primarily at Los Angeles Center Studios, Connor has had the privilege of conducting thousands of training sessions for actors and executives/team members of major motion pictures and TV productions. In addition, Connor has worked with professional athletes and members of our armed forces. Connor holds a certification from the National Council on Strength and Fitness and is motivated to help people from all walks of life achieve their fitness goals. Peter Winkler

Peter Winkler is a native Hungarian living in Los Angeles, CA. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by NSCA, a Certified Tennis Performance Specialist, and a Performance Nutrition Coach. Peter has been working with a variety of athletes from Junior to Professional levels (ATP/WTA) and with countless high-end clients - CEO’s and celebrities for over a decade. His background is in Track and Field, which he highly uses to provide tremendous benefits for all athletic performances. His passion is to help people create harmony in their life through his knowledge of fitness, nutrition, and mind-body techniques. He’s a science- based professional and consultant who continuously thrives to learn, attends educational seminars, and stays open minded to avoid conformation bias.
